Meditation Monday – Poem and Emergency Numbers

Here is something that will help you through the day. I know not everyone got the day off today.

This Too Shall Pass

If I can endure for this minute
Whatever is happening to me,
No matter how heavy my heart is
Or how dark the moment may be-
If I can remain calm and quiet
With all the world crashing about me,
Secure in the knowledge God loves me
When everyone else seems to doubt me-
If I can but keep on believing
What I know in my heart to be true,
That darkness will fade with the morning
And that this will pass away, too-
Then nothing in life can defeat me
For as long as this knowledge remains
I can suffer whatever is happening
For I know God will break all of the chains
That are binding me tight in the darkness
And trying to fill me with fear-
For there is no night without dawning
And I know that my morning is near.

  1. Like the poem and emergency phone numbers are great! 🙂 I did read Bible once (same as I did with Talmud, Kuran and Bhagavad Gita), but as “cultural” reading and curiosity and comparison making. I am believer but I don’t go to church. Was raised as christian, but know only one prayer by heart. This is the only one I believe at and pray (sometimes). I never ask anything from God even though I think I ought to. Think he would like me to do that. Respect him too much and feel humble thinking about him and just can’t ask him for any “favor” 🙂
Even if I don’t pray, I thank him many, many times a day.
These emergency numbers you have posted for us is great for times of “emergency” and will keep them in the bible (for easier search when needed).
I respect what you do for us, your readers, and even though I thank you every time, it never sounds or feels enough to me.
    Once again THANK YOU!
    You are my angel here!

    • If there is anything, I mean ANYTHING, you have questions about a true relationship with God (I’m not talking religion) ask. I will answer you to the best of my ability and when I cannot answer, I will find out for you through other means. You can contact me through email, my info is on the ‘Contact Me’ page. I’m glad you thank him everyday but there is much more to Him than that and I would like to show you if you’d allow me. 😀
